Avoiding Cold Spurts of Water
When we turned the water back on using the On-Off button, the water temperature was the same as before, but was followed by a few seconds of COLD water before resuming the warm temperature we had set.
Test your hand held shower to see if this happens and, if so, wait until the cold spurt has finished before aiming the water toward the person.

On/off switch
An on/off switch allows you to turn the water off when soaping their hair, for example, and turn it back on again at the same temperature without having to remix the hot and cold water.
Long hose (7-foot)
The standard 5-foot long hoses are really not long enough to access all parts of the person's body, so we recommend a 7-foot long hose for easier access.
Anti-scald
And finally, you'll want to make sure you have adequate anti-scald protection. Older adults are extra sensitive to hot water, and serious injuries can occur if the water is scalding. If you don't have scald protection, you can install a device on your shower pipe or get a handheld showerhead with an integral anti-scald device.
