2 Key Tips!

Dementia Friendly Activities

Narration
Activities are one of the most important things you can do with the person to increase their well being. Research shows that dementia-friendly activities can increase positive feelings, help access buried memories, and reduce challenging behaviors. And the happier the person is, the happier you'll be as the caregiver. The living room can be a wonderful place to do activities if you have good lighting, comfortable seating, and a quiet atmosphere, with no distracting noises. A place to store items (table, armoire, etc.) is helpful in keeping the room neat.
