Common Eye Diseases

Cataracts

Cataracts, the main cause of visual impairment, cause cloudy or blurry vision, problems with glare, and poor night vision.

Glaucoma

Without treatment, adults with glaucoma can lose their side vision. Over time, central vision may decrease until there is no vision left.

Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration can lead to loss of central vision and is the leading cause of irreversible visual impairment.

Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetic retinopathy affects half of all Americans with diabetes. The macula area is initially affected, but, in time, damage occurs over a wider area of the retina.
